Two weeks ago me and my friend and photographer Stela have decided to pack our vintage dresses and visit one of the most beautiful little towns in Croatia – Rovinj. Rovinj is located on the western coast of Istria peninsula, which is the biggest Croatian peninsula. Rovinj is beautiful, but we needed a bigger motive for a 10 hour drive from our hometown Split then just usual sightseeing – and boy did we find it 🙂 !
Rovinj was a host of fantastic Dolce Vita Vintage Festival. In their own words : “Dolce Vita is a heritage festival celebrating vintage culture in all of its forms: music, film, design, fashion, dance, food…. Dolce Vita celebrates Mediterranean culture and all the best from the mid-20th century. A true festival experience for all senses!”
For us it really was an unforgettable weekend. Amazing concerts, great food, beautiful town…and the feeling that we entered into the time machine and returned to that beautiful era of dapper suits, gorgeous womanly dresses, wild dances and quality music….I think Fellini would be proud 🙂 !
