Mediterraneo

It is very easy in our hectic life today to forget small things, things that actually count. Couple of weeks ago I was sitting at a local beach bar in my hometown Split. It was one of those perfect summer days..couple of good friends, coffee, wonderful sea view… At that moment I realized how happy I am to be born in this wonderful Mediterranean country. There is something special in Mediterranean culture and way of living – easy going atmosphere, beautiful sunny days…wild temperaments, fantastic food…I wouldn’t trade it for nothing!

I love to travel and discover new places, but I have spacial attraction for the places near the sea, which explains my love for Lisbon and Barcelona ๐Ÿ™‚ !

I’m always telling that I can live just about anywhere, but not without the sea view ๐Ÿ™‚

Today’s post is an homage to wonderful Mediterranean ladies and fashion, hope you’ll enjoy it ๐Ÿ™‚ !

Strap on!

I always had tendency for some geometry in my wardrobe. In today’s fashion, thanks to different kinds of materials, clothing, shoes and jewelry can come to life in all forms and shapes.

One particular trend I like is use of straps in everyday fashion. Different use of straps in our wardrobe can give us feminine, but also very futuristic, even bondage vibe. They are usually used to accentuate the parts of our body that we wanna show off – used smartly, of course!

That effect is best shown in today’s classic, bandage dress by Herve Leger who used straps to the maximum.

Queen of the Jungle

Summer months are just perfect for the one trend which cannot go unnoticed – jungle print. I haven’t worn Desigual for a while ๐Ÿ˜‰ , so it’s time to return to my favorite fashion brand!

I found this beautiful dress at E-bay couple of years ago, again second hand, and it was of course, love at first sight. She just screams summer, jungle and wilderness.

For blog posts I first decide on outfit, and after it, with my biggest helper, photographer Stela, I decide on location.

We wanted to do the jungle themed post, but we couldn’t afford trip to Amazonian rain forest ๐Ÿ™‚ , so we hope that this jungle voyage with a little bit of help of Photoshop will do the trick ๐Ÿ™‚ !

Enjoy!

Heart of Glass

From early childhood I had fascination with glass, especially colored one. I used to take empty bottles, break them, and then tried to glue them in different forms, much to my mother’s despair ๐Ÿ™‚ . I loved different colors and shapes of glass, and in our local church I adored to look at the stained glass windows, especially during the morning mass when the rays of sun would shine through them – those moments were like heaven for my eyes. During my first visit to Barcelona I had stained glass overload – beautiful colorful glass mosaics were everywhere, especially in works of Antoni Gaudi. Since then I blame Gaudi ๐Ÿ™‚ for my love and obsession with everything colorful, naturalistic and eccentric –ย  beautiful necklace featured in today’s post represents all of that !
