Finally, a new blog post! After two weeks without my faithful laptop we are reunited and ready for some new fashion adventures 🙂 !
Inspiration for today’s post is a fashion item which is quite popular last couple of Spring/Summer seasons – the bomber jacket. Bomber jacket is a perfect item for the days between sudden Spring colds and Summer heats. Designers recognized her potential and shops like Zara, H&M and Asos are full of bomber jackets in all possible prints.
Last month, while in Barcelona, in Desigual outlet store I purchased my new prized possession, beautiful embroidered bomber jacket which I can combine with just about anything.
Enjoy!

Desigual bomber jacket – details
The bomber jacket’s roots can be traced to WWI, where “bomber” pilots with the Royal Flying Corps were the first military to be issued long leather flying coats in 1915.
In 1931, the U.S. Army Air Corps issued its new design — the A2 Bomber Jacket, a waist-length version that became part of the standard uniform issue for the U.S. military and remains today the most popular version.

The fashion industry was quick to take notice of the bomber jacket’s popularity and soon civilians were donning their own versions of the leather flight jackets.

Today, numerous designers, like Gucci and Prada, use bomber jacket as an inspiration – different kinds of materials and prints give a totally new face to once strictly military item.
