Brocade Enthusiast

Being a total “Game of Thrones” fan, but also a fashion enthusiast, I had to notice fantastic brocade outfits which are featured in this TV show. Brocade is a rich silk material which was only reserved for nobility.

My love for fashion brand Desigual started the moment I saw their fantastic brocade patchwork coats. They are a little pieces of fashion art and in them you won’t go unnoticed :)!

Hope you’ll like today’s outfit and some tidbits from fashion history!

Back in Yellow !

Finally, after a long break, arrives my first post pregnancy post 🙂 ! First of all, I have to thank my friends Stela and Ivna for keeping this little blog alive with their amazing posts while I was trying to figure out my new mommy role.

My little baby girl Ena is now three and a half months old, and she has become our new partner whenever Stela and I manage some time to do photo shoots.

I thought it is appropriate to start this new fashion blogger / Ena’s mommy adventure in my colorful style – and which color is the best one two announce new life, new energy, new start? Of course, it’s splash of yellow!

Yellow is the color that captures our attention more than any other color. In almost every culture yellow represents sunshine, happiness, and warmth. It is the most visible color of the spectrum and the human eye processes yellow first. This explains why it is used for cautionary signs and emergency rescue vehicles.

It’s a primary color and so it’s the base of endless shades of colors. Yellow remains full, pure, and immune to all chromatic contamination.

It’s not an easy color to wear, and it looks better in contrast with black – add just a little bit of yellow to your everyday outfit, and trust me, you WILL be noticed 🙂

Enough with the small talk, let’s show you some pictures!

Everyone I meet, even random people on the street ask me about Ena’s pushchair. It’s by the fantastic British brand Cosatto, and it was love at first sight!

My Gipsy Soul

I’m always happy and proud to wear jewelry and clothing with a story behind them. In my life I try to find items that tell me something…and when I do find those kind of items and with them their creators…well the feeling is fantastic!

Recently in my hometown Split, thanks to my dear friend Gorana who works there, I discovered a beautiful jewelry store named “Salt” – and trust me, jewelry in that store really “speaks to me”!

The story behind today’s necklace is told by it’s creator Lara, and I hope you will like it 🙂

Into the Woods

One thing I just love to pull out from my wardrobe in these fantastic Spring days are my All Star Converse shoes. This particular pair I accidentally found on a Winter sale eight years ago and fell in love with their funky design.

Converse shoes are one trend which will never go away, and they often remind me on freedom, fun and that special escapism of the youth.

At the end of the post I have put some of my favorite Spring/Converse themed pictures, hope you’ll enjoy them!

What do you think about Converse sneakers, and what is your favorite Spring footwear, do tell!

Kisses from sunny Croatia

Breaking Bad

Today’s post was inspired by one of my all time favorite TV-series, “Breaking Bad”. “Breaking Bad” tells the story of Walter White, fantastically portrayed by versatile Bryan Cranston, a struggling high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, who, together with his former student Jesse Pinkman, portrayed by Aaron Paul, turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystallized methamphetamine to secure his family’s financial future before he dies.

That would be a really short info on a TV-series which for months kept me captivated with it’s amazing storyline and characters. You will often laugh at these characters, question their morality and eventually even hate them, but you cannot deny the sheer brilliance behind it!

This “Heisenberg” T-shirt by Choies (Heisenberg being the alias of Walter White) was such a great and unexpected gift. I decided to combine it with my version of Walter’s trademark black hat, blue suede heels and skirt with blue tulle detail – color of their product, crystal meth.

Hope you’ll enjoy this post!

Only Leather !

One clothing item which can never go out of fashion is a quality leather jacket. Today you can find them in all possible colors and shapes, but for me there is only one classic – leather jacket made in black leather. Being a student with a very limited amount of money, I begged my mother to buy me one – when I passed in term all of my exams at the fifth year of medicine, this fantastic jacket was my present – without any doubt I can say that it still is my favorite and most worn clothing item.

I can pair her with all sorts of different items – with some nice shirts and skirts for my job, with the little black dress for the evening outings, but my most favorite combination is also the simplest one – just a T-shirt and the pair of jeans and I’m ready to go!

Leather jacket always gives a little bit of an edge and of course, a little bit of rock’n’roll to every outfit, so who can resist her?

Shoe Gal

Couple of weeks ago I decided to make a collage of all the handbags, shoes and jewelry I wore in my posts till this date. I already published handbags post (What About that Bag?), and enjoyed so much in making today’s post – it is really great to see all these shoes in one place!

I choose the title of the post after an e-mail address of true shoe maniac, one and only Miss Carrie Bradshaw from TV-series Sex and The City.

So my questions are – How many shoes do you have, which shoe style do you prefer and what are your favorites in my collection?

Kisses from Dina AKA Miss Dee 🙂 !

Baby Pink

One of my favorite fashion blogs is the one written by Miss Rebecca – “Winnipeg Style”. She has such a quirky and colorful style which I adore. Thanks to her post “Perfect Fall Coat” I discovered this wonderful Fall/Winter coat by brand Choies and totally fell in love with it. Rebecca bought hers in blue, but I wanted to do something totally opposite of my usual color choices and go with one color which is rarely seen in my wardrobe – pink.

I hated to wear anything pink as a child, but after long 30 years I finally decided to give that color a chance! What do you think about my baby pink coat and what are your feelings towards this girlie color?

Kisses and have a great weekend!

Stockings Time

One of the things I really adore, and love to have an opportunity to wear in these cold days are stockings and tights. My collection is quite big, and while I have the classic ones in black, I always tend to buy those with some extra color or print on them (what a surprise 😉 ) ! This pair in mustard yellow is my favorite – perfect color to fight of dark winter shades, but also incredibly warm and comfortable!

Do you love to wear stockings or just avoid them all together, do tell !

Kisses from Miss Dee 🙂 !

PS. Thank you my dear husband for being photographer for a day ! :*
