Everyone one of us has a favorite color – that one color which is a little bit above all of the other ones. Although I’m a big colors fanatic π , you could probably guess by now that for me the favorite color is one and only – green. Since I was a little kid I preferred her in my wardrobe – green always had soothing and peaceful influence on me. Green is the color in which I feel most comfortable, and even at my home decorations I always prefer green details.
But on the other side green is a great color if you wanna stand out and run away from your safety zone – perfect color for eternal introvert/extrovert fight inside my head π !
Hope you will enjoy these pictures, taken in beautiful little city Stobrec, located 10 minutes from my hometown Split and check out my all time favorite selection of green dresses, both in popular culture and on the fashion runways. And do tell me something about your color favorites!
Kisses!

Since the beginning of time, green has signified growth, rebirth, and fertility. In Muslim countries, it is a holy color and in Ireland, a lucky color. It was the color of the heavens in the Ming Dynasty.
The color green is considered to be the color of balance and harmony.
Related to fashion, green became a widely popular in the 1960s styles, as shades of lime and leaf perfectly capturedΒ psychodelic groove. The colors were so prevalent in fashion thatΒ Harperβs BazaarΒ devoted its May 1961Β issue to the color, promoting swimsuits, dresses and other fashions in every spectrum of the shade.

At the end of the 1980s, green once again inserted itself into the fashion psyche. American designers such asΒ Calvin Klein featured a multitude of shades, from apple to lichen, in their collections, prompting some fashion insiders to declare greens the new neutrals.
On the runway, especially in their Spring collections, fashion designers give it a go with confidence, mixing and matching daring textures, prints and patterns.
Did you know that there is a superstition that sewing with green thread on the eve of a fashion show brings bad luck to the design house π ? Be careful young designers!
