Pop Art stole my heart

Today is a rather special day! Besides the fact that today is the first day of Spring, there is one other small fact –Β  this is my 30th post, hooray πŸ™‚ ! One of the main goals when I started to do this blog (besides showing you my obsession with Desigual πŸ˜‰ ), was to show some of the amazing Croatian designers. Croatia is a a rather small country, but artistic talent here is huge, in my humble opinion πŸ™‚ !

I love this skirt by very talented Croatian designer Zoran Aragovic from Bite My Style fashion design, and she inspired me for today’s topic – Pop Art, and it’s neverending influence in fashion and design. I love my clothes to be colorful and bold, and this outfit doesn’t fail me in that department – hope you’ll enjoy it!

Stop bugging me Beetlejuice!

At the beginning of today’s post I have to say – I have never had so much fun being photographed like for this photo shoot. There are a lot of goth-inspired clothing items in my wardrobe and I really wanted to use them – story about Beetlejuice and Lydia was perfect for that. It was interesting to portray two complete opposites – quiet, eternally depressed Lydia, and slightly crazy and always scheming Beetlejuice – Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde indeed. After the shoot I stayed in a little bit crazy over-the-top Beetlejuice mood. I cannot even imagine how hard it is for actors who portray these kind of characters to return to normal, everyday lives – they really possess you! They can be really fun to play, because every one of us wants to escape reality sometimes and outleash our inner emotions. But also, after a while they can be quite dangerous, so it’s better to use them in small dosages πŸ™‚ !

Enjoy!
