Le Petit Prince

I recently revised my book collection and one of the books I own caught my attention – Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I consider this book a must in everyone’s library. As a child I couldn’t quite figure out all the thoughts and metaphors which this wonderful book contains, bit I loved drawings by de Saint-Exupéry and I often copied them in my notebooks. Today, with a little bit more of life wisdom and experience :), I find new beauty in it’s simple and so truthful words about life, love and human nature.

Years and years will pass, but I believe that “Le Petit Prince” will stand every test of time, and always teach us and remind us of importance to nurture connection with our often forgotten inner child.

Boat named “Skitnica” in Croatian – English translation would be “The Wanderer” – I think it’s quite appropriate for this post 🙂

Heart of Glass

From early childhood I had fascination with glass, especially colored one. I used to take empty bottles, break them, and then tried to glue them in different forms, much to my mother’s despair 🙂 . I loved different colors and shapes of glass, and in our local church I adored to look at the stained glass windows, especially during the morning mass when the rays of sun would shine through them – those moments were like heaven for my eyes. During my first visit to Barcelona I had stained glass overload – beautiful colorful glass mosaics were everywhere, especially in works of Antoni Gaudi. Since then I blame Gaudi 🙂 for my love and obsession with everything colorful, naturalistic and eccentric –  beautiful necklace featured in today’s post represents all of that !
