Mermaid’s Song

In today’s post I’m so happy and proud to continue the collaboration with fantastic artisan jewelry store located in my hometown Split – “Salt” – and it’s author, Lara.

In last week’s post you could see a stunning colorful necklace named “My Gipsy Soul”, and today you can see my personal favorite – necklace appropriately named “Mermaid’s Song”. I love colors and my wardrobe is always a bit on the epileptic side, but I couldn’t resist the sheer beauty in the simplicity of these three materials: silver, coral and turquoise – materials behind every true sea mermaid.

All the pictures were taken near the hill Marjan in my hometown Split, hope you’ll like them!

Autumn Leaves

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Here, in my hometown Split and surrounding area, we are mostly blessed with warm and sunny days – a perfect balance between the hot summer and cold winter.

But the colors!! I just love them. It is truly nature at it’s best – green, yellow, red and orange…heaven for my eyes. So today’s post is my homage to the wonderful Autumn shades – enjoy!

Kisses, Dee.

Oxford Babe

Last autumn I decided to find the perfect pair of shoes which I could wear in that awkward season period between wearing ballet flats and winter boots. As always, I decided to find them on the site I know the best – never ending wonder of E-bay !

After a long search I fell in love with these wonderful Oxford shoes by Iron Fist. They are very comfortable, easy to combine with all sorts of outfits – and I have to admit – when I wear them I just have an urge to dance in the rain – Fred Astaire style 🙂 !

Le Petit Prince

I recently revised my book collection and one of the books I own caught my attention – Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I consider this book a must in everyone’s library. As a child I couldn’t quite figure out all the thoughts and metaphors which this wonderful book contains, bit I loved drawings by de Saint-Exupéry and I often copied them in my notebooks. Today, with a little bit more of life wisdom and experience :), I find new beauty in it’s simple and so truthful words about life, love and human nature.

Years and years will pass, but I believe that “Le Petit Prince” will stand every test of time, and always teach us and remind us of importance to nurture connection with our often forgotten inner child.

Boat named “Skitnica” in Croatian – English translation would be “The Wanderer” – I think it’s quite appropriate for this post 🙂

Eternal Bag-a-holic

If I could give myself a diagnosis, it would be –  Bag-a-holic. I love bags and find them to be extension of my home, my private and professional life..and of course…extension of my inner self.

I really don’t care about high-end brands – besides quality only thing I care about the bag is the story behind her. I love craftsmanship, colors, little details. Bags that stand out from the crowd. Bags which are close to me and have their own story in which I can find myself.

Recently I fell in love with sewing and designing my very own handbags – every one of them is product of love. I hope that one day I will be able to reach at least a part of craftsmanship of some of my favorite handbag designers.

Sailor Girl !

Sorry for a little bit belated post but I’m having love and hate relationship with my laptop these days! The temperature is dangerously rising in Croatia, and for a very short period of time I managed to wear my, how I like to call it : “OMG, where I parked my yacht ?!” look 🙂

I love the pure simplicity of this look – with only three colors : white, red and navy blue, you can make numerous combinations of navy looks. These looks automatically give you a feeling of summer, nostalgia and old school elegance.

Enjoy!
