Brocade Enthusiast

Being a total “Game of Thrones” fan, but also a fashion enthusiast, I had to notice fantastic brocade outfits which are featured in this TV show. Brocade is a rich silk material which was only reserved for nobility.

My love for fashion brand Desigual started the moment I saw their fantastic brocade patchwork coats. They are a little pieces of fashion art and in them you won’t go unnoticed :)!

Hope you’ll like today’s outfit and some tidbits from fashion history!

Dressing THE Bump :)

I feel very much ashamed that I didn’t post anything for almost a month, but whole this time I’m very much online, checking out other bloggers and getting bigger day by day – because yes, I’m expecting my first baby in the late Summer ๐Ÿ™‚ !

My photographer Stela and I finally managed to coordinate our schedules and take some pictures in beautiful park “ฤardin”ย  in my hometown Split, for this first official pregnancy photo shoot, hope you’ll like it!

Oxford Babe

Last autumn I decided to find the perfect pair of shoes which I could wear in that awkward season period between wearing ballet flats and winter boots. As always, I decided to find them on the site I know the best – never ending wonder of E-bay !

After a long search I fell in love with these wonderful Oxford shoes by Iron Fist. They are very comfortable, easy to combine with all sorts of outfits – and I have to admit – when I wear them I just have an urge to dance in the rain – Fred Astaire style ๐Ÿ™‚ !

The (T)rench Connection

There are clothes …and then there are classics. One of them is definitely trench coat. I think every one of us owns some variation of the trench coat for those rainy Springย  or Autumn days. I while ago I got my hands on this wonderful second-hand Burberry trench coat which I consider my prized possession.

One of my favorite movie scenes is the one from “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” when Audrey Hepburn (or Holly Golightly) is trying to catch her love interest Paul dressed in her trench coat.

Every time I put my trench coat on I feel like a part of an old school movie, and who doesn’t love to feel like that, if only for a couple of hours?

She gives me needles and pins…

My personal style often balances on the edge of being over-accessorized. I love scarves, watches, handbags, and jewelry in general โ€“ and I’m not afraid to use it ๐Ÿ™‚ ! I started to wear earrings when I cut off my hair ten years ago, and I occasionally wear necklaces, bracelets and rings, but brooches are my biggest love. During the winter I pin them on my coats and jackets, and during the summer they end up everywhere โ€“ on my T-shirts, dresses and bags โ€“ even shoes if it’s possible!

Every brooch I own has its own story โ€“ I don’t buy them because they are trendy. They have to inspire me, and add that extra touch of my own interests and style to the whole outfit I’m wearing.

My profession doesn’t allow me too much color or personal style during the working hours, but a nice little brooch can make a lot of difference on my plain white uniform.
