Path of the Elves

Everyone who knows me could confirm you I am not very much of a nature girl. But from time to time, especially in December, my favorite book and movie, “Lord of the Rings”, always come to mind and my inner Elf just wants to go out and feel the sky, trees and fresh air…

The Garden Party

Hello everyone!
No, it’s not Miss Dee, but rather her loyal photographer/friend Stela. I’ll start the post of a happy note and say that Miss Dee and her hubby became proud parents of a gorgeous baby girl on August 18th, 2015! Congratulations Miss Dee!

What about that Bag ?

I usually do my photo shoots during the weekend – that is the only time of the week when my dear photographer Stela and I have enough time to meet up and take the pictures. Of course, nice weather is always a plus in our blogger escapades! This weekend I got sick with a stomach flu and all our plans had to be postponed. Because of that I decided to realize an idea I had for a while – make a collage of all of my handbags, shoes and jewelry that I wore in former blog posts – today I started with my favorites – the bags πŸ™‚ !

I’m really happy that among my handbag collection is a large number of handmade products and that some of them have found their new owners. But one thing is for sure – you won’t find one quite “normal” model among this collection!

How many bags do you have, and what are your favorites in my collection?

Kisses from sickly Miss Dee :* !

Cloche hats and Green-eyed Cats

Having a short hair has its benefits. If you are always late and running from one place to another like me, it is really a perfect style – you can wash and dry it in a matter of minutes, without loosing to much of that precious time. Short hair is a blessing during the hot Summer days – in those days I am envied by many of my girl friends. Only time of the year I catch myself missing my long hair is during windy Winter days when I think my poor ears will probably fall off. I love to wear hats, especially beanies and fedoras, but this Winter I fell in love with this beautiful cloche hat by Sisley. Cloche hats first became popular in the 1920s, when they were worn by rebellious flapper girls who wanted to emulate boyish short haired look, but also to be feminine and sophisticated – I hope I also managed to that πŸ™‚ !

Instant Chic

Three weeks ago one of my favorite Croatian designers, Robert Sever, launched a small capsule collection of clothing and accessories named “Instant Chic”. This beautiful and affordable collection was made in collaboration with main Croatian fashion internet page –Β  FASHION.HR, and sold in BIPA stores.

I couldn’t wait for the collection to come to the stores, and when it did it was everything I could hope for – trendy, chic, unique and elegant. My absolute favorites are beautiful printed belt and matching purse with tassel detail, trendy fringe belt and this simple but oh so perfect black and grey dress – perfect for the day at the job, but also for the evening outing!

Besides my take on this beautiful collection you can also check out some pictures and advices for the one trend that just keeps on going this season – use of fringe and tassels in our everyday clothing items. In the beginning I wasn’t the biggest fan of this trend, but later I started to love it – only if used with measure of course πŸ˜‰ !

Hope you’ll like it!

Kisses, Dee

Pretty Pleat

I still have a slight case of Barcelona blues :), but the last couple of days my hometown Split was finally in it’s sunshine mood. It is the perfect time for my collection of pleated skirts to see the light of the day. I have them in five different colors (white, yellow, green, black and turqoise), all bought on E-bay for 10 dollars each. They are perfect for spring/summer transition and can be paired with just about anything. I wear them with T-shirts, tank tops, jackets, sneakers or sandals. If you want some instant feminine touch, but also to feel modern and comfortable pleat is the perfect choice!

Made in Croatia

Today’s post will be a rather patriotic one….no, don’t worry, I won’t sing our national anthem or something like that πŸ™‚ ! ThisΒ  photo shoot was taken on a beautiful sunny day in my hometown Split. Me and my friend Stela who took pictures (with my low quality camera, because my husband took the better camera for his backpacking trip, grrrr) were over the top that day. Gorgeous weather, sunshine, sea, amazing views….they just made us think how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful town and such a beautiful country.

Most of my outfit which I wore that day was made in Croatia, so today I will present you some of my favorite Croatian brands and designers. There are so many great designers here, some better known and some lesser known, but all amazingly talented, so you can expect them more in some of my future posts, but these ones would be my Top 5 !

If you have any of your own suggestions be sure to write them in the comments!

Enjoy πŸ™‚ !
